This short term installation used intentionally simple materials — some resalvaged, others custom-fabricated by 16 Tech's Machyne shop — to transform an underutilized connector space into a more comfortable, colorful, and welcoming entry to the district. A ground mural patterned for walking and seating, moveable planters, and shaded areas brought much-needed relief to an otherwise harsh environment. Serving as a first effort within the larger 16 Tech district plan, the installation tested what the space could become and helped build momentum for the future Central Green, which was simultaneously in design and fundraising.
