The Lincoln Market Park will be one of The Ville's first projects along the future MLK Cultural Boulevard. Transforming underutilized land into a communal space for reflection and cultural programming, the park will celebrate the legacy of The Ville neighborhood and its future in St. Louis. Anchored by a monumental bronze sculpture by artist Nick Cave and surrounded by a mural of The Ville’s Tina Turner and a mural created by Loutopia, the park’s design stems from these artworks to create a variety of public space experiences. The park will be a significant investment in The Ville’s future and a symbol of community-led rebuilding, resilience, and renewal along the MLK corridor.

The design process has been closely engaged with many partners, including 4theVille, the cultural heritage development organization leading the effort to restore The Ville’s MLK corridor, Gateway Foundation, the public art organization who commissioned Cave’s sculpture, and the park’s immediate neighbors.

The park completed the first phase of construction in August 2026, just in time for the annual Northside Trap Run. Completion and public opening is anticipated in 2027.
